Our Beliefs

We believe in the doctrines of the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed:

“I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day, he rose again from the dead, he ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. “I believe in the Holy Ghost; the Holy catholic Church*; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.”

We Believe In:

Godthe triune — existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – everlasting God, Creator of heaven and earth and everything therein.

Scripturethe Old and New Testaments of the Bible are wholly the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and written by human hands.

Jesus Christthe only begotten son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully human and fully divine, bled and died for the sins of all men, crucified as a ransom upon the cross, buried, rose up from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven, finished the marvelous work of redemption.

Holy Spirit: that the Holy Spirit has descended to convince men of their sin so that they could repent and be born again.

Salvation: that by the grace of God, we can be justified by faith in Jesus Christ.

Second Coming: that the Lord Jesus Christ will come to this earth again at the end of time to judge in righteousness the living and the dead, and those who believe in the Lord will resurrect to gain eternal life.

* The expression “Holy catholic Church” is not to be confused with the Roman Catholic Church, but means, rather, those redeemed by the blood of Christ regardless of what church they claim as theirs.
